If a student is out for an Encounter Prevention group and another student requests a pass, I would like it to say the same thing as a student waiting to use the bathroom due to too many students out- that is, “You are in line”.
I was going to make a request as well. Here is what I was requesting:
Can the wait in line feature cover the encounter prevention? In other words, when I cannot approve a student due to an encounter prevention, can they just be added to a line? I can’t monitor the hall pass to approve the student waiting on an encounter prevention while I am teaching. It would be helpful if these two features were integrated. Thank you so much for listening to our suggestions! SmartPass is super helpful to lessening our workload.
I agree- it becomes challenging, especially because there are no notifications, to know that I need to approve a pass . The wait in line would eliminate that..
Also- speaking of notifications- I wonder if it would be possible, if as teachers, when we get a notificaiotn if your browser tab could change colors, like the students do when their “wait time” is up.
I was actually about to add a new feature request for that very thing. I am in a chat with support about that now.
🎉 Coming this summer:
When a student is blocked from creating passes with Encounter Prevention, students will be placed in a Wait in Line until they’re able to leave. Plus, certain staff members will be able to override Encounter Prevention if there’s an emergency.
